Ohhh, thank you, Akiya! Wow, I can’t believe you were a fan of Fishbones for that long! I got into it from LJ myself, too. Sorry that this isn’t Jisuk replying (she’s currently busy away from internet for a while) but I hope you don’t mind that I reply. Yeah, I agree. I usually don’t like reading, since I’m spiritually related to Gaston, but Jisuk’s writings has always been easy and enjoyable to read for me. I’m so happy she’s writing Book II! It’s still exciting, just as much as Book I. I’m so happy to read that you’re back again and I thank you so much for your generous comment! I hope to do my best by keeping up with more pages! This is so wild. I read the novel years and years ago when it was first posted on LJ or wherever, I don’t even remember now, and loved it and then gradually it faded from my mind – then I remembered it a while later, googled it, and found the first page of this comic when it was first starting out. I commented on it as AeradaNasi in 2011 (I was 15!) and followed the story for a few months till my interest in webcomics waned and I forgot again. But now, in the space of two days I’ve reread the novel, found where you’re writing book two (I’m screaming) and caught up on the comic, which has almost psychic timing to be posting again now! I certainly won’t forget it this time. It’s the mark of a good story that I’ve matured so much yet enjoy it as much as I did then or more. What a journey lmao. Forgive my block-of-text comment but goddamn, I’d forgotten how much I love this story. I’m in love with the clean, concise art style and also the method of retelling – of using choice lines from the novel (many of my faves) while simultaneously snipping bits, condensing, and moving things around to keep it engaging. I also love the character design and how you preserve the basics of the novel characters but give them new angles and depth. I hope you two keep this comic going for a long while and can’t wait to see when you update again.
